José Viterbo Filho

José Viterbo has a degree in Electrical Engineering (with an emphasis on Computing) from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, a Master's in Computing from the Fluminense Federal University, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute of Computing at the Federal Fluminense University (IC/UFF). He is one of the coordinators of the Data for Citizenship Research Group (D4Ctz) and a collaborating researcher at the Active Documentation and Intelligent Design Laboratory (ADDLabs), both at the same university. In addition, he has been Director of Publications at the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) since 2013. He works at the Graduate Program in Computer Science at UFF (PPGC/UFF), where he develops research in the area of collective intelligence, electronic government, analysis and management of open data and ubiquitous computing. Atualmente é Professor Associado no Instituto de Computação da Universidade Federal Fluminense (IC/UFF). É um dos coordenadores do Núcleo de Análise de Dados para a Cidadania (D4Ctz) e pesquisador colaborador no Laboratório de Documentação Ativa e Design Inteligente (ADDLabs), ambos na mesma universidade. Além disso, é Diretor de Publicações da Sociedade Brasileira de Computação (SBC) desde 2013. Atua no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Computação da UFF (PPGC/UFF), onde desenvolve pesquisas na área de inteligência coletiva, governo eletrônico, análise e gestão de dados abertos e computação ubíqua.
