Jean Alex Matos Ribeiro

I am a Professional Specialist in Adult and Elderly Neurofunctional Physiotherapy certified by ABRAFIN/COFFITO, with a Ph.D. in Physiotherapy from the Federal University of São Carlos and a Master's degree in Physiotherapy from the same institution. I also have specializations in Neurofunctional Physiotherapy from the Federal University of São Carlos, Applied Exercise Physiology in Clinical Practice from the Federal University of São Paulo, and Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and ICU from the Independent Northeast College. I graduated from the Anhanguera de Itabuna College with a degree in Physiotherapy.I have extensive experience in the field of Neurofunctional and Cardiovascular Physiotherapy, as well as Exercise Physiology. My main areas of focus are neurological patients, addressing topics such as endothelial function, arterial stiffness, heart rate variability, cerebral hemodynamics, intracranial compliance, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, assessment of functional capacity and cardiovascular, metabolic, and ventilatory variables during physical exercise. Additionally, I work with energy expenditure, energy cost, field functional tests, aerobic exercise protocols, assessment of physical activity level, and sedentary behavior through objective and subjective measures.I have skills in Constraint-Induced Therapy for upper and lower limbs, as well as in Neuromodulation, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation. Furthermore, I have experience in MATLAB programming, systematic review, meta-analysis, and statistical analysis.Currently, I work as a lecturer at Morgana Potrich College (FAMP), where I share my knowledge and experiences with students. Additionally, I serve as a reviewer for national and international high-impact journals, contributing to the dissemination of relevant research in the field.I hope to have the opportunity to utilize my expertise and skills to help improve the quality of life of patients and contribute to advancements in the field of Neurofunctional and Cardiovascular Physiotherapy.

Sou um Especialista Profissional em Fisioterapia Neurofuncional no Adulto e no Idoso certificado pela ABRAFIN/COFFITO, com um doutorado em Fisioterapia pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos e mestrado em Fisioterapia pela mesma instituição. Também possuo especializações em Fisioterapia Neurofuncional pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Fisiologia do Exercício Aplicada à Clínica pela Universidade Federal de São Paulo, e Fisioterapia Cardiorrespiratória e UTI pela Faculdade Independente do Nordeste. Minha graduação foi realizada na Faculdade Anhanguera de Itabuna, onde me formei em Fisioterapia.Tenho ampla experiência na área de Fisioterapia Neurofuncional e Cardiovascular, bem como em Fisiologia do Exercício. Meus principais focos de atuação são em pacientes neurológicos, abordando temas como função endotelial, rigidez arterial, variabilidade da frequência cardíaca, hemodinâmica cerebral, complacência intracraniana, teste cardiopulmonar de exercício, avaliação da capacidade funcional e variáveis cardiovasculares, metabólicas e ventilatórias durante o exercício físico. Além disso, também trabalho com gasto energético, custo energético, testes funcionais de campo, protocolos de exercício aeróbico, avaliação do nível de atividade física e do comportamento sedentário por meio de medidas objetivas e subjetivas.Tenho habilidades em Terapia por Contensão Induzida para membros superiores e inferiores, bem como em Neuromodulação, incluindo Estimulação Magnética Transcraniana e Estimulação Transcraniana por Corrente Contínua. Além disso, possuo experiência em programação MATLAB, revisão sistemática, meta-análise e análise estatística.Atualmente, exerço a função de docente na Faculdade Morgana Potrich (FAMP), onde compartilho meus conhecimentos e experiências com os alunos. Além disso, atuo como revisor em periódicos nacionais e internacionais de alto impacto, contribuindo para a disseminação de pesquisas relevantes na área.Espero ter a oportunidade de utilizar minha expertise e habilidades para ajudar a melhorar a qualidade de vida dos pacientes e contribuir para avanços na área de Fisioterapia Neurofuncional e Cardiovascular.
