Elvio Quirino Pereira

It has undergraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering from FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF GOIÁS (1990), Specialization in Policy, Planning and Management from UNB (1992), Masters in Sociology from the University of Brasilia (1996), PhD in Sociology from the Federal University of Paraíba (2004 ) and Post-doctorate in Sociology from Sustainable Development Center - CDS / UNB. He was professor at the State University of Tocantins (1992/2003). Specialization Course in Technological Innovation, the Special Commissioner of the vestibular and Chief of Staff of UNITINS. Member and Founder of socio FAPTO, Executive Director of Scientific and Technological Foundation of Tocantins (2008-2012). Secretary of Planning of Palms City Hall (2005-2008). Advisor for Strategic Affairs of the UFT. Member and president of the electoral commissions for Rector of UFT (2003, 2008, 2012). He is currently Associate Professor I of the Federal University of Tocantins and also Senior Researcher Junior at the University of Brasilia / UNB. He has experience in the areas of sociology, with an emphasis on Sociology of Development, acting on the following themes: Family Agriculture, Rural Development and Land, Technology and Labour Market, Rural Sociology, Qualitative Research Methodology, Technology and Entrepreneurship Innovation.

Possui curso de graduação em Engenharia Agronômica pela UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE GOIÁS (1990), Especialização em Políticas, Planejamento e Gestão pela UNB (1992), Mestrado em Sociologia pela Universidade de Brasília (1996), Doutorado em Sociologia pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (2004) e Pós-doutorado em Sociologia pelo Centro de Desenvolvimento Sustentável - CDS/UNB. Foi Professor da Universidade Estadual do Tocantins (1992/2003). Coordenador do Curso de Especialização em Inovação Tecnológica, membro da Comissão Especial do Vestibular e Chefe de Gabinete da UNITINS. Membro e sócio Fundador da FAPTO, Diretor Executivo da Fundação Científico e Tecnológica do Tocantins (2008/2012). Secretário de Planejamento da Prefeitura de Palmas (2005/2008). Assessor de Assuntos Estratégicos da UFT. Membro e presidentes das comissões eleitorais para Reitor da UFT (2003, 2008, 2012, 2017). Atualmente é presidente da Copese - Comissão Permanente de Seleção da UFT, professor Associado III da Fundação Universidade Federal do Tocantins e também Pesquisador Colaborador Junior da Universidade de Brasília/UnB. Tem experiência nas áreas de Sociologia, com ênfase em Sociologia do Desenvolvimento, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Agricultura Familiar, Desenvolvimento Rural e Territorial, Tecnologia e Mercado de Trabalho, Sociologia Rural, Metodologia de Pesquisa Qualitativa, Inovação Tecnológica e Empreendedorismo.
