Rodrigo Avalos

Possui graduação em Física pela Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (2014) e Doutorado em física pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (2017). Atualmente é pós-doutorando em matemática na Universidade Federal do Ceará. Investiga principalmente questões comuns à física, à geometria diferencial e à análise geométrica, com ênfase em problemas geométricos surgidos na relatividade geral, destacando a análise das equações de vínculo de Einstein dentro do problema de valores iniciais desta teoria.

The researcher obtained his degree of "Licienciado en Ciencias Físicas" from the National University of Mar Del Plata in Argentina in 2014, then completed his PhD in physics in 2017, awarded by the Federal University of Paraíba in Brazil. Since October 2017, he has been holding a postdoctoral position at the Department of Mathematics of the Federal University of Ceará. His main research interests lie on the overlap between differential geometry, geometric analysis and physics, with emphasis in geometric problems naturally arising withing general relativity. Along these lines, the researcher's main interests concern the analysis of the Einstein constraint equations within the initial value problem in general relativity.
