Paulo Cezar Rocha dos Santos

He has a double PhD in "Human Movement Science" from the "University Medical Center Groningen/University of Groningen" and the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Master of Science in Human Movement Sciences and Bachelor in Physical Education from UNESP (2013 and 2009). He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science in partnership with the Center of Advanced Technologies in Rehabilitation / Sheba Medical Center - through the Weizmann-IDOR Pioneer Science Fellowship Program. Member linked to the Posture and Locomotion Studies Laboratory (LEPLO) at UNESP. Researcher linked to multi-centrum projects in Brazil and abroad. Experience in Physical Education, with emphasis on motor control and neuroscience. He is currently involved in projects aimed at understanding neurological and behavioral adaptations of postural control and walking in healthy and pathological aging. Tem doutorado duplo em "Human Movement Science" pela "University Medical Center Groningen/ University of Groningen" e a Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Mestre em Ciências da Motricidade e graduado em Bacharelado em Educação Física pela UNESP (2013 e 2009). Atualmente, é pesquisador de pós-doutorado no Instituto Weizmann de Ciência em parceria com o "Center of Advanced Technologies in Rehabilitation / Sheba Medical Center" - pelo programa "Weizmann-IDOR Pioneer Science Fellowship". Membro vinculado ao Laboratório de Estudos da Postura e da Locomoção (LEPLO) da UNESP. Pesquisador vinculado a projetos multicêntricos no brasil e exterior. Experiência na área de Educação Física, com ênfase em controle motor e neurociências. Atualmente, está envolvido em projetos com o objetivo de entender adaptações neurológicas e comportamentais do controle postural e do andar no envelhecimento saudável e patológico. Além disso, faz parte de projetos com foco no benefício do exercício físico e terapias adicionais (como estimulação cerebral não invasiva) na postura e locomoção de pacientes com doenças de Parkinson, Alzheimer e idoso neurologicamente sadios.
