Alexandre Cordeiro Macedo is the current President of Cade. He has two degrees in Law and Economics. He holds a Master?s degree in Constitutional Law from the Law School of Brasilia/IDP and a postgraduate degree in Administrative Procedure from the University of Brasília. He is a Visiting Scholar at the Antonin Scalia Law School - George Mason University in Washington-DC. He has been a career auditor of the Union?s General Comptroller Office since 2006, where he was an advisor and chief of staff of the Union?s General Comptroller. He is former Vice-minister of the Cities in Brazil. He is a professor of Competition Law, Compliance at the Law School of Brasília/IDP. He is a visiting professor at the University of Brasilia- UNB, University of Campinas-Unicamp/SP, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Law School of Vitória - FDV. He is the organizer and author of the book, Special Topics of Competition Law, published by Editora Cedes. Author of several articles in books, magazines and newspapers. Lecturer at various events and universities in Brazil and abroad, such as Harvard Law School ? Cambridge, Northwestern University - Chicago, American Bar Association - ABA, International Bar Association - IBA, International Competition Network - ICN, Global Competition Review ? GCR and Concurrence.
Atual Presidente do CADE, ex-conselheiro e ex-superintendente-geral da autarquia durante dois mandatos. Possui dupla graduação em Direito e em Economia, é Doutor em Direito Econômico pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Mestre em Direito Constitucional pelo Instituto Brasiliense de Direito Público, pós-graduado em Processo Administrativo Disciplinar pela Universidade de Brasília. É Visiting Scholar e International Fellow do Global Antitrust Institute da Antonin Scalia Law School - George Mason University em Washington/DC. É auditor de carreira da Controladoria-Geral da União desde 2006, onde foi assessor e chefe de gabinete do Corregedor-Geral da União. Foi secretário-executivo do Ministério das Cidades. É professor de Direito Econômico e de Análise Econômica do Direito da Escola de Direito de Brasília/IDP. É professor convidado dos cursos de pós-graduação da UNB, Unicamp, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), do Ibmec e da Faculdade de Direito de Vitória (FDV). Organizador e autor do livro Tópicos Especiais de Direito Concorrencial, Editora Cedes. Autor de vários artigos em livros, revistas e jornais. Palestrante em diversos eventos e universidades no Brasil e no exterior, tais como Harvard Law School - Cambridge, Northwestern University - Chicago, American Bar Association (ABA), International Bar Association (IBA), International Competition Network (ICN), Global Competition Review (GCR) e Concurrence.
