Valéria Aydos Rosário

Valéria is a social scientist, MSc and PhD in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (PPGAS), with an internship at King's College London, under the supervision of prof. Dr. Nikolas Rose. She is currently a researcher and postdoctoral fellow at PPGAS-UFRGS, participating as a researcher at the Center for Studies in Anthropology and Citizenship (NACI-UFRGS), at the Study Group on Anthropology and Disability (GEAD-UFRGS) and at the Study Group on Realities of Disability in Brazil (inter-institutional and international, with funding from Western University) . In addition to working on the Disability and Accessibility Committee of the Brazilian Association of Anthropology (ABA), she is a member of ABRAÇA (Brazilian Association for the Rights of Autistic People), working in the training center of Escola Abraça. As a researcher, she participates in the projects ?Living with Disabilities in Brazil?, in partnership with University College London (funded by the British Academy) and ?Translating: autism in the first person at the Academy", coordinated by the professors of the Institute of Literature and Linguistics of the Federal University of Vales do Jequitinhonha and Mucuri (UFVJM). His doctoral research focused on anthropological studies on Citizenship, Public Policy and Disability, seeking to understand the relationships between the modes of government, culture and subjectivities that constitute the dynamics of the processes of social inclusion of people with autism in the labor market. In her last projects, she has turned her research interests of an emancipatory nature, exercising "PesquisarCom" practices in the co-production of projects and writings with autistic interlocutors and interlocutors. Her current postdoc project focuses on the study of intersectionalities between autism, gender, race and social class in processes of accessibility and inclusion in the labor market and in academia.

Valéria é cientista social, mestre e doutora em Antropologia Social pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (PPGAS), com estágio no King's College London, sob supervisão do prof. Dr. Nikolas Rose. Realizou pós-doutorado na área dos Estudos Críticos da Deficiência e do Autismo, junto ao Grupo de Estudos em Antropologia e Deficiência (PPGAS-UFRGS). Participa do "Grupo de Estudos Realidades da Deficiência no Brasil" (interinstitucional e internacional, com financiamento da Western University) e "Grupo de Estudos em Antropologia e Deficiência" (UFRGS). Atualmente é professora efetiva no curso de Medicina da Universidade Federal do Pampa (Unipampa) e atua no Comitê Deficiência e Acessibilidade da Associação Brasileira de Antropologia (ABA), além de ser membra da ABRAÇA (Associação Brasileira pelos Diretos das Pessoas Autistas). Em seus últimos projetos tem voltado seus interesses para pesquisas de cunho emancipatório, exercitando práticas do "PesquisarCom" na co-produção de conhecimento com interlocutoras e interlocutores autistas, junto aos projetos ?Vivendo com Deficiências no Brasil?, em parceria com a University College London (financiado pela British Academy); "Rede Traduzir-se: autismo em primeira pessoa na prática acadêmica", coordenado pelo professor Luiz Henrique Magnani, do Instituto de Literatura e Linguística da Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (UFVJM) e "Deficiência, Neurodiversidade e Interseccionalidade: os efeitos do capacitismo nas trajetórias educacionais de mulheres com deficiência", em parceria com as profas Marivete Gesser (UFSC) e Pâmela Block (Western University-Canadá).
