Vinicius Hector Abud Louro

Geofísico, professor doutor em Aerogeofísica e Geotecnologias no IGc-USP (MS-3.2), realizou sua graduação e mestrado em geofísica no IAG-USP e, posteriormente, seu doutorado em Geofísica e Ciências da Terra IAG-USP e na University of St. Andrews (Escócia). Dentro da geofísica, se especializou em métodos potenciais (magnetismo e gravimetria), gamaespectrometria e sensoriamento remoto. Sua atuação cobre a geofísica da litosfera como um todo, desde a superfície até o limite com a astenosfera, envolvendo exploração mineral, tectônica, e riscos e perigos geológicos e ambientais. Líder do grupo de pesquisa Geociências da Litosfera (GEOLIT) do IGc-USP.

Geophysicist, Assistant Professor of Airborne Geophysics and Geotechnologies at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), and Leader of the Geosciences of the Lithosphere Research Group (GEOLIT). I had my undergrad and masters at the University of São Paulo and, later, a Joint-PhD in Geophysics/Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of São Paulo and the University of St. Andrews (Scotland). My specialities are in potential field methods (magnetics and gravity), gamma-ray spectrometry and remote sensing. My research topics are on the geophysics of the lithosphere, including mineral exploration, tectonics, and geohazards.
