Cientista Social, Bioeticista, Mestre (2013) e Doutor (2017) em Ciências Médicas e Bioética pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Pesquisador visitante no Departamento de Ética Médica e Políticas de Saúde (Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy) da University of Pennsylvania (Penn) no período de 2015-2016 pelo Programa de Doutorado Sanduíche no Exterior (PDSE/CAPES). Atualmente é Professor Permanente do PPG em Promoção da Saúde e Professor de Ciências Humanas e Sociais da Universidade Cesumar de Maringá (UniCesumar), bem como Vice-Coordenador do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da mesma IES. É líder do Grupo de Pesquisa em "Bioética e Promoção da Saúde Global no envelhecimento". É Pesquisador Associado do Laboratório de Pesquisa em Bioética e Ética na Ciência do Centro de Pesquisas do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre-LAPEBEC/HCPA. Pesquisador Bolsista - Modalidade Produtividade em Pesquisa para Doutor - PPD - do Instituto Cesumar de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (ICETI). He is currently a Full Professor of the PPG in Health Promotion and Professor of Human and Social Sciences at the Cesumar University of Maringá (UniCesumar) and a member of the Research Ethics Committee of the same University. He is the leader of the Research Group on "Bioethics and Global Health Promotion in Aging." He is an Associate Researcher at the Research Laboratory on Bioethics and Ethics in Science at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre-LAPEBEC/HCPA.
