Eduardo Bento de Faria

He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Campina Grande (2007) and a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (2009). Has experience in Veterinary Medicine, with emphasis on Clinical Research in the development of medicines, Preventive Veterinary Medicine, working mainly on the following topics: medicinal plants, small ruminants, vermifuge, primates, large animals, laboratory animals, radiology oncology and Image diagnosis. He has more than 7 years of experience conducting pre-clinical research under Good Laboratory Practice guidelines. Currently, at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology, Division of Translational Radiation Sciences, he contributes to the development and study in animal models of medical countermeasures to mitigate the effects of acute and late effects of radiation in the hematopoietic, gastrointestinal and pulmonary systems.

Possui graduação em Medicina Veterinária pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (2007) e mestrado em Medicina Veterinária pela Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (2009). Tem experiência na área de Medicina Veterinária, com ênfase em Pesquisa Clínica no desenvolvimento de medicamentos, Medicina Veterinária Preventiva, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: plantas medicinais, pequenos ruminantes, caprinos, vermífugo, primatas, animais de grande porte, animais de laboratório, radiologia oncológica e diagnostico por imagem. Tem mais de 7 anos de experiência conduzindo pesquisas pré-clínicas sob as diretrizes das Boas Práticas de Laboratório. Atualmente, na University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology, Division of Translational Radiation Sciences, ele contribui para o desenvolvimento e estudo em modelos animais no desenvolvimento e estudo de contramedidas médicas destinadas a mitigar os efeitos das síndromes agudas e crônicas da radiação nos sistemas hematopoiético, gastrointestinal e pulmonar.
