Lucas Perez Florentino

Lucas Perez Florentino is a PhD student in International Relations/Political Science at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva Graduate Institute) (Geneva, Switzerland). He holds degrees in International Relations from the Institute of International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil (BA/MA), and was an undergraduate exchange student at Georgetown University in Washington DC. For the last ten years, he has been involved in a series of research projects on Brazil?s and Latin America?s nuclear politics and global nuclear governance. His current research agenda articulates global governance, global nuclear governance, international political sociology, aesthetics studies, science and technology studies, and theories of International relations.

Lucas Perez Florentino é doutorando de Relações Internacionais/Ciência Política no Geneva Graduate Institute (Instituto de Altos Estudos Internacionais e do Desenvolvimento), em Genebra, na Suíça. É mestre e graduado em Relações Internacionais pelo Instituto de Relações Internacionais da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (IRI PUC-Rio) (Brasil) e cursou um semestre letivo como estudante de graduação, em intercâmbio, em Georgetown University (Washington D.C., Estados Unidos). Nos últimos dez anos, esteve envolvido numa série de projetos de pesquisa sobre a política nuclear no Brasil e na América Latina e sobre a governança nuclear global. Sua agenda de pesquisa atual articula governança global, governança global nuclear, sociologia política internacional, estudos estéticos, estudos de ciência e tecnologia e teorias de Relações Internacionais.
