Bacharel em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal do Ceará, com período sanduíche pelo Programa Ciência sem Fronteiras na National University of Ireland, em Galway (Irlanda), estagiando no Cell EXPLORERS em ensino e divulgação científica de Biologia Celular e Biotecnologia. Trabalho de conclusão de curso realizado no Setor de Parasitologia do Departamento de Patologia e Medicina Legal da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Mestre em Parasitologia (Imunoparasitologia) e aluno do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Parasitologia, nível doutorado, do Instituto de Ciências Biológicas da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Integrante do Laboratório de Esquistossomose e Imunohelmintologia.
