Géremi Gilson Dranka

Géremi Dranka is Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Federal University of Technology ? Paraná, Brazil. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Systems (2021, University of Minho), MSc in Electrical Engineering (2014, Federal University of Technology), Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (2012, Federal University of Technology). He is also a member of the ALGORITMI Research Centre (Portugal) as a research collaborator in the IEM (Industrial Engineering and Management) R&D group - Economics and Management of Engineering Systems (EMES). His research interests and expertise are in energy-related issues, including renewable energy, energy planning, and multidisciplinary approaches for energy sustainability, including economic and environmental dimensions. He is a reviewer of international scientific journals including Energy (Elsevier), Applied Energy, Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology, Energy Sources Part B Economics, Planning, and Policy e IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy. He also supported the Local Support Committee of the 4th International Conference on Energy and Environment: bringing together Engineering and Economics (ICEE 2019).

Possui Doutorado em Engenharia Industrial e de Sistemas pela Universidade do Minho - Portugal (2021), Graduação (2012) e Mestrado (2014) em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR). Atualmente sou Professor Adjunto do Magistério Superior da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR), campus Pato Branco, lotado no departamento de Elétrica (DAELE). Tenho atuado como investigador colaborador do Centro ALGORITMI (Portugal) no grupo de P&D IEM (Industrial Engineering and Management) - Economics and Management of Engineering Systems (EMES). Tenho experiência na área de energias renováveis, energia solar fotovoltaica, planejamento de sistemas energéticos e desenvolvimento sustentável, com atuação particular no desenvolvimento de modelos de simulação e otimização de longo prazo com foco no setor elétrico. Além da atuação em atividades de ensino e pesquisa, tenho atuado em diversas atividades de gestão e suporte ao ensino e pesquisa, sendo o atual Assessor de Ensino na UTFPR-PB e participante do PLS Energia. Participei de conferências nacionais e internacionais e na organização da ICEE 2019 (4th International Conference on Energy and Environment: bringing together Engineering and Economics). Também sou revisor de periódicos internacionais na área de energia, incluindo: Energy (Oxford); Applied Energy; Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology, Energy Sources Part B Economics, Planning, and Policy e IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy.
