Gibeon Soares de Aquino Junior

Gibeon Aquino holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) - 2010, with the thesis in the area of Software Engineering. He has a background in Software Architecture, especially in Enterprise Information Systems and Mobile Applications. Before joining the UFRN in August 2010, he worked at the Center of Studies and Advanced Systems of Recife (CESAR) as a Software Architect of several systems for more than ten years. For three years, he also managed the Systems Division at the UFRN, responsible for the development and maintenance of important systems such as SIGAA, SIPAC, and SIGRH, which are used by several government organizations and public institutions in Brazil. His current research interest involves Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing, Internet of Things and Dependability. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Mobile Programming, Software Configuration Management, and Software Architecture.
