Bruno Sanches Masiero

Prof. Bruno Masiero graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2005. In 2007 he receive a M.Sc. from the University of São Paulo for his work on active noise control. Immediately thereafter he initiated research work in the area of binaural hearing and spatial audio reproduction at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and in 2012 was awarded a Ph.D in engineering. In 2015 he joined the University of Campinas (Unicamp) where he is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Computing Engineering. His research focuses on the application of modern digital signal processing techniques in several audio and acoustic applications, such as spatial sound acquisition and reproduction, acoustic imaging, characterization of acoustic materials and development of audiological assessment tools. He is currently the associate Dean of FEEC-Unicamp.

Prof. Bruno Masiero se formou em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade de São Paulo em 2005. Em 2007, recebeu o título de mestre pela Universidade de São Paulo por seu trabalho em controle ativo de ruído. Imediatamente depois, iniciou trabalho de pesquisa na área de audição biauricular e reprodução de áudio espacial na Universidade RWTH Aachen, Alemanha, e em 2012 recebeu o título de doutor em engenharia. Atualmente é Professor Associado na Faculdade de Engenharia Elétrica e de Computação da Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Sua pesquisa tem foco na aplicação de técnicas modernas de processamento digital de sinais em diversas aplicações de áudio e acústica, como aquisição e reprodução espacial de som, imageamento acústico, caracterização de materiais acústicos e desenvolvimento de ferramentas de avaliação audiológica. Atualmente é o diretor associado da FEEC-Unicamp, na gestão 2023-2027.
