Fernando Silva de Moura
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (2006). He obtained the title of Doctor in Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (2013). He is currently an adjunct professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Center for Engineering, Modeling and Applied Social Sciences at the Federal University of ABC, Brazil. He has experience in inverse problems and biomedical engineering, with emphasis on signal processing, Kalman filters, stochastic estimation and inverse problems, regularization of ill-posed problems, system dynamics and instrumentation. He works mainly on the following topics: Electrical impedance tomography, inverse problems, cerebral circulation. He participated in the development of Electrical Impedance Tomography technology for bedside monitoring of the cardiopulmonary system, already available on the market. He is a member of the Finnish Inverse Problems Society (FIPS) and Inverse Problems International Association (IPIA), reviewer for Inverse Problems, IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, SIAM Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physiological Measurement. He is editor of the journal Applied Mathematics for Modern Challenges (AMMC).
