Luiz Eduardo de Carvalho Alves

Doctoral student in Communication from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Master in Contemporary Cultural Studies, from the Minas Gerais Foundation for Education and Culture - FUMEC. Scholarship by the Research Support Foundation of the State of Minas Gerais - FAPEMIG (2018-2020). He is part of the Research Group on Communication and Sports Cultures - Coletivo Marta of the Federal University of Minas Gerais; Currently, researches the dissemination, mediated by the media, of American Football and the impacts of the practice on Brazilian culture. Graduated in Social Communication - Advertising and Propaganda by the University FUMEC, FAPEMIG scholarship holder in the project "The Representation of Social Minorities in the advertising of sporting events in Brazil", between 2014 and 2016. He is interested in topics related to Sports Sociology, Cyberculture, Culture Sport in Brazil and Communication.

Mestre em Estudos Culturais Contemporâneos, pela Fundação Mineira de Educação e Cultura - FUMEC. Bolsista pela Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais - FAPEMIG (2018-2020). Integra o Grupo de Pesquisa em Comunicação e Culturas Esportivas - Coletivo Marta da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Atualmente, pesquisa a disseminação, mediada pelos meios de comunicação, do Futebol Americano e os impactos da prática na cultura brasileira. Graduado em Comunicação Social - Publicidade e Propaganda pela Universidade FUMEC, bolsista FAPEMIG no projeto "A Representação das Minorias Sociais nas propagandas de eventos esportivos no Brasil", entre 2014 e 2016. Possui interesse em temas relacionados à Comunicação e Esporte, Cultura e Identidade e a Cibercultura.
