Juliana Mendonça de Castro Palhares

Doctor and Master in Arts from PPGArtes-UFMG and Bachelor in Visual Arts from the School of Fine Arts at UFMG. Teacher with 23 years of experience in Basic Education (Early Childhood Education, Elementary School and High School) and in Higher Education. Author of textbooks on Art published by Saraiva, S|M and Edebê. Member and founder of Grupo Matraca (Teatro de Bonecos - since 1998) where she works as an actress/manipulator, set designer, costume designer and playwright. She has experience in the field of Arts, with an emphasis on Arts, working mainly on the following topics: imaginative cognition, teaching/learning in Art, metaphor, childhood, corporeity and aesthetic experience.

Doutora e Mestre em Artes pelo PPGArtes- UFMG e bacharel em Artes Visuais pela Escola de Belas Artes da UFMG. Docente com 23 anos de experiência na Educação Básica (Educação Infantil, Ensino Fundamental e Ensino Médio) e no Ensino Superior. Autora de livros didáticos de Arte publicados pelas editoras Saraiva, S|M e Edebê. Integrante e fundadora do Grupo Matraca (Teatro de Bonecos - desde 1998) onde atua como atriz/manipuladora, cenógrafa, figurinista e dramaturga. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Artes, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: cognição imaginativa, ensino/ aprendizagem em Arte, metáfora, infância, corporeidade e experiência estética.
