JOSÉ MARIA FRANCO DE CARVALHO

Civil Engineer from the Federal University of Viçosa - UFV (2004), Master in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto - UFOP (2007) and PhD in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto with a sandwich at the Federal Institute of Research and Testing Materials - BAM, Berlin (2019). He is currently an adjunct professor at UFV, PQ-2 CNPq researcher, coordinator of the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering at UFV, one of the leaders of the Research Group on Sustainable and Innovative Construction SICon - CNPq (UFV), researcher at the CNPq Research Groups RECICLOS (UFOP), ATIVE (UFOP), DEC UFV Structures (UFV), and TechBIM (UFV). He has experience in the area of Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Construction Materials and Structures, working mainly on the following topics: sustainable materials, eco-efficient concrete, reuse of industrial waste, cement and cement-based composites technology, repair and rehabilitation of bridges, management of bridges.

Engenheiro Civil pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa - UFV (2004), Mestre em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto - UFOP (2007) e Doutor em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto com período sanduíche no Instituto Federal de Pesquisa e Testes em Materiais de Berlim - BAM (2019). Atualmente é professor adjunto da UFV, pesquisador PQ-2 CNPq, coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Civil da UFV, um dos líderes do Grupo de Pesquisa em Construção Sustentável e Inovadora SICon - CNPq (UFV), pesquisador dos Grupo de pesquisa CNPq RECICLOS (UFOP) ATIVE (UFOP), DEC UFV Estruturas (UFV), e TechBIM (UFV). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Civil, com ênfase em Materiais de construção e estruturas, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: materiais sustentáveis, concretos ecoeficientes, reaproveitamento de rejeitos industriais, tecnologia do cimento e de matrizes cimentícias, reparo e reabilitação de OAEs, gestão de OAEs.
