Humberto Fioravante Ferro

Humberto Ferro holds a bachelor's degree in Computing Science from the Universidade do Vale do Itajaí (1998), a master's degree in Computing Science from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2007) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the Universidade de São Paulo (2016). He has experience in higher education, having worked as a lecturer at the Faculdades Integradas de Lages, Universidade do Vale do Itajaí (São José and Itajaí), Centro de Tecnologia em Automação e Informática (CTAI) in Florianópolis and Faculdades Integradas Santa Catarina (IES FASC). He has experience in Information Systems, with emphasis on systems design, database management systems, business intelligence and intelligent systems. He worked as a freelancer consultant in the areas of Business Intelligence and Information Systems, providing services to several technology companies in Florianopolis and region. From August 2004 to January 2018, he worked as a Systems Analyst at Celesc (a large utility company in Santa Catarina), where he was responsible for managing and developing systems in Oracle, DSS, geographical information systems and datawarehousing. Currently, Humberto is a professor with the Instituto Federal do Paraná at Assis Chateaubriand, where he teaches Advanced Topics in Programming Languages, Operating Systems, Fundamentals of Computer Science and Requirements Analysis and Systems Modelling.
