Elaine Guerrero Pena Paiva

Elaine holds a Bachelor's degree in Control and Automation Engineering from Universidad de Oriente, Cuba (2008), and a Master's degree in Control and Automation Engineering from the same university (Universidad de Oriente, Cuba, 2014). She was a full-time professor at Universidad de Oriente, Cuba from 2008 to 2013. In 2020, she holds her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Center for Informatics (CIn), Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). She has experience in Electrical Engineering, emphasizing Control and Automation, Process Control, Predictive Control, Control Systems, Modeling and Identification Systems. Also, she has experience in Computer Science, working mainly with Computational Intelligence, emphasizing Evolutionary Computing, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Neural Networks, and Deep Learning.

Possui graduação em Engenharia de Controle e Automação pela Universidad de Oriente, Cuba (2008) e mestrado em Controle e Automação pela mesma universidade (Universidad de Oriente, Cuba, 2014). Foi professora a tempo completo na Universidad de Oriente, Cuba desde 2008 até 2013. Em 2020 terminou o Doutorado em Ciência da Computação no Centro de Informática (CIn) da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Controle e Automação, Controle de Processos, Controle Preditivo, Sistema de Controle, Modelagem e Identificação de Sistemas. Também, tem experiência na área de Ciência da Computação, atuando principalmente na área de Inteligência Computacional, com ênfase em Computação Evolucionária, Machine Learning, Processamento de Linguagem Natural, Redes Neurais e Deep Learning.
