Gabriel Paes Marangon

He holds a degree in Forestry Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (2009), a master's degree from the Graduate Program in Forestry Sciences, Forest Management area, Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (2011). PhD by the Graduate Program in Forestry Engineering of the Federal University of Santa Maria, Forest Management area. He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Pampa. He works mainly in the following subjects: Dendrometry, Inventory, Management and Forest Measurement. He is interested in areas related to management and inventory of planted and native forests, machine learning techniques and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for mapping native and planted agricultural and forest crops.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (2009), mestrado pelo programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Florestais, área de Manejo Florestal, pela Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (2011). Doutorado pelo programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Florestal da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, área de Manejo Florestal. Atualmente é professor da Universidade Federal do Pampa. Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: Dendrometria, Inventário, Manejo e Mensuração Florestal. Possui interesse nas áreas relacionadas a manejo e inventário de Florestas plantadas e nativas, técnicas de aprendizado de máquinas e Veículos Aéreos Não Tripulados (VANT) para mapeamento de culturas agrícolas e florestais nativas e plantadas.
