Samira Afzal

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering Polytechnic School, University of Sao Paulo. I am a member of the ?Integrated Systems Laboratory?, researching deeply on IoT, SWARM, and Surveillance Systems. I graduated my Ph.D. in November 2019 from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). During my PhD I had collaborated with Samsung in a project with my research group in the area of mobile video streaming over heterogeneous wireless networks and multipath transmission methods in order to increase perceived video quality. I graduated the M.Sc. degree in Information Technology from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, 2011. During my master's, I worked in the area of localization in mobile wireless sensor networks, and I was a researcher at the Intelligence System Laboratory at the Sharif University of Technology.
