Valdeci Carlos Dionisio

Dr. Valdeci is graduated in Physical Education from the Faculty of Physical Education of Barra Bonita (1986), graduated in Physiotherapy from the University of Ribeirão Preto (1991), Master's in Bioengineering from the University of São Paulo (1998), and Ph.D. in Functional and Molecular Biology from the State University of Campinas (2005). He was a CNPq Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. David A. Brown. He is currently Associate Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia, Permanent Professor of the Master's Program in Physiotherapy - UFTM/UFU, developing projects with financial support, ad hoc reviewer of national and international periodicals and funding agencies. He is also a member of the Bank of Evaluators of the National System of Evaluation of Higher Education-SINAES. He has experience in the field of Physiotherapy, with an emphasis on orthopedics and traumatology, working mainly on the following topics: physiotherapy, orthopedics and traumatology, kinesiology, biomechanics, electromyography, and motor control.

Possui graduação em Educação Física pela Faculdade de Educação Física de Barra Bonita (1986), graduação em Fisioterapia pela Universidade de Ribeirão Preto (1991), mestrado em Bioengenharia pela Universidade de São Paulo (1998) e doutorado em Biologia Funcional e Molecular pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2005). Foi bolsista de pós-doutorado do CNPq na University of Alabama at Birmingham em 2015 sob supervisão do Prof. David A Brown. Atualmente é professor Associado da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, Docente Permanente do Programa de Mestrado em Fisioterapia - UFTM/UFU, desenvolvendo projetos com apoio financeiro, revisor ad hoc de periódicos nacionais, internacionais e agências de fomento. Também é membro do Banco de Avaliadores do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Superior - SINAES. Tem experiência na área de Fisioterapia e Terapia Ocupacional, com ênfase em Ortopedia e Traumatologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: fisioterapia, ortopedia e traumatologia, cinesiologia, biomecânica, eletromiografia e controle motor.
