Wanderson de Sousa Mendes

I have Bachelor degree in Agronomic Engineering at Federal University of Piauí (2016) and Doctor of Science in Agronomy at the University of São Paulo (2020). My current research interests are on the following subjects: remote sensing, digital soil mapping, spectral sensing, spectral library and soil degradation. I worked a a postdoctoral researcher at the OpenGeoHub Foundation in Wageningen, The Netherlands, using integrated proximal and remote sensing technology for mapping and monitoring soil (2020/21). Moreover, I participated in the project of the Brazilian Soil Spectral Library and in the World Soil Spectral Library through the project "Soil Spectroscopy for Global Good" (https://soilspectroscopy.org/about/). Currently, I work as a research associate in the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research, Research Area 1 "Landscape Functioning" - Landscape Pedology working group.

Possui graduação em Bacharel em Engenharia Agronômica pela Universidade Federal do Piauí (2016) e doutorado direto em Agronomia (Solos e Nutrição de Plantas) pela Universidade de São Paulo (2020), atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: remote sensing, digital soil mapping, spectral sensing, spectral library e soil degradation. Atuou como pesquisador pós-doutorando no OpenGeoHub Foundation em Wageningen, Holanda, especializado no uso integrado das tecnologias de sensoriamento proximal e remoto no mapeamento e monitoramento do solo (2020/21). Participou do projeto de construção da Biblioteca Espectral de Solos do Brasil e do projeto de construção da Biblioteca Espectral de Solos do Mundo ("Soil Spectroscopy for Global Good" - https://soilspectroscopy.org/about/). Atualmente, atua como pesquisador associado no Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research, Research Area 1 "Landscape Functioning" - Landscape Pedology, na Alemanha.
