Antonio Vavá Cavalcante

Cientista Político, é Mestre e Doutorando pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência Política da Universidade de São Paulo (USP) com experiência nos tópicos de Direito Internacional, Patrimônio Histórico, Advocacy de Políticas Públicas e Diplomacia Científica de Inovação. Teve vínculo de pesquisa formal com o CNPq e atualmente com a CAPES, além de centros de pesquisa, cátedras e comitês. Possui Graduação em Letras pela UNESP, com habilitação em Língua Inglesa, concluindo sua Graduação na University of Georgia (EUA), onde cursou período letivo com bolsa de estudos, nas áreas de Linguística Histórica, Literatura Anglo-Americana e Antropologia. Realizou Pesquisa de Iniciação Científica Pibic na área de Linguística de Corpus e Terminologia. Possui formação complementar com Capacitação em Negociações Internacionais pelo Instituto de Relações Internacionais da Universidade de São Paulo (IRI-USP), Capacitação em Observação Eleitoral pela Organização dos Estados Americanos/USP, Extensão Acadêmica em Direitos Humanos e Liberdade de Expressão pela Universidade de Oxford e UNESCO. É especializado nos tópicos de Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural, com experiência nas áreas de pesquisa Qualitativa, Teoria Politica, Direito Internacional, Diplomacia Científica e Inovação. Foi Secretário de Relações Públicas (2019-2020) e membro do Centro de Pesquisas sobre Proteção Internacional de Minorias, CEPIM-USP (2017-2022) vinculado a Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo e Pesquisador do Centro de Estudos das Negociações Internacionais, CAENI-IRI vinculado ao Instituto de Relações Internacionais da mesma Universidade. Membro do Comitê Local da Sao Paulo School of Innovation and Science Diplomacy InnScid-SP (2019-2020) por duas edições, sendo também membro e colaborador da Comissão de Filosofia do Direito na OAB/SP, Distrito de Santana 125° Subseção, São Paulo/Brasil. Desde 2022 é também Pesquisador Associado da Cátedra José Bonifácio, do Centro Ibero Americano da USP. Possui também experiência em Advocacy e Políticas Públicas através do trabalho social pelo ProMigra, projeto de promoção dos direitos de migrantes, com foco em migração internacional na cidade de São Paulo, de 2018 até 2020. Nas Artes, é representado pela CasaGaleria em São Paulo-SP.

Political Scientist and PhD Candidate/Doctoral Researcher in Political Science at the University of Sao Paulo (USP) (2021-2024) with experience in International Law, Cultural Heritage, Public Policy Advocacy and Science & Innovation Diplomacy. Has a Master's Degree in Political Science from the same University (2017-2019). His education also includes a Bachelors Degree in Linguistics & Literature with a Licence in English from the University of the State of Sao Paulo (UNESP), finishing his undergraduate studies with a Scholarship at the University of Georgia (UGA) United States, with classes on Historical Linguistics, Anthropology and Literature. He has Capacitation and Academic Extension training in International Negotiations by CAENI-IRI/USP, Electoral Observation by the Organization of the American States and USP and International Standards of Freedom of Expression/Human Rights by the University of Oxford and UNESCO. He is currently a CAPES ( funded Doctoral Researcher (2021-2024). His research regards Historical and Cultural Heritage in Political Theory and International Law. From 2017 to 2019 he was a CNPq (Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) funded Researcher at the Political Science Department at the University of Sao Paulo, obtaining his Master's Degree in Political Science with a focus on Political Theory and International Law. As a Scholar, he is linked to research institutions such as The Center for Research on the International Protection of Minorities at the Law School of the University of Sao Paulo (CEPIM-USP) where additionally to being a researcher (2017-2022) he was part of the Secretariat of Public Relations, as well as the Center for Analysis on International Negotiations (CAENI-IRI) also at the University of Sao Paulo as well as Associate Researcher of the José Bonifácio Chair, in the Center of Ibero American Studies. He was member of the Organizing Local Committee for the Sao Paulo School of Innovation and Science Diplomacy InnScid-SP in 2019 and 2020. He specializes in normative developments of International Law, the interface between Culture and Politics as well as having experience in Advocacy and Scientific & Innovation Diplomacy. From 2018 to 2019 he conducted work on the academic extension project ProMigra, dedicated to political advocacy, promotion and analysis of migrant rights, jobs and immigration in Brazil, specially in Sao Paulo, conducting conjectural analysis and translation. As of 2022 he integrates the Jose Bonifacio Chair at the University of Sao Paulo as an Associate Researcher, under supervision of Diplomat and Ambassador Rubens Ricupero.
