Formação técnica em eletrotécnica (2007), graduação (2015) e mestrado (2018) em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). Atualmente é doutorando em Engenharia Elétrica, pela mesma instituição, na área de Sistemas de Energia. Seus interesses de pesquisa incluem estudos de planejamento do sistema elétrico, proteção do SEP, localização de falta, Smart Grid e análise em regime permanente, análise de contingência, de energização e de rejeição de carga.
Entre 2010 e 2014 foi bolsista de Iniciação Científica no Centro de Excelência em Energia e Sistemas de Potência (CEESP), onde participou do projeto Ferramenta computacional para gerenciamento da proteção em redes de distribuição primária. No ano de 2013 foi monitor da disciplina de Eletricidade para o curso de Engenharia Civil da UFSM. No período de junho de 2014 a julho de 2015 realizou intercâmbio institucional na University of Derby, no Reino Unido, através do programa Ciência Sem Fronteiras. Foi um dos fundadores e o primeiro presidente do Capítulo Estudantil da Power and Energy Society (PES) IEEE PES UFSM, em 2017.
He is graduated in technical electrotechnical course (2007), holds a bachelor's degree (2015) and master's degree (2018) in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). He is currently a doctorate?s student in electrical engineering from the same institution in the Energy Systems area. His research interests include Power System Planning, Power System Protection and Analysis, Fault Location, Smart Grid, Power Flow Analysis, Contingency Analysis, Energization and load shedding.
Between 2010 and 2014 he was awarded with Scientific Initiation Scholarship in the Center of Excellence in Energy and Power Systems (CEESP), where he participated in the computational tool project for protection management in primary distribution networks. In the year of 2013, he was monitor of the Electricity course for undergraduate students of Civil Engineering of UFSM. From June 2014 to July 2015 he held an exchange at the University of Derby, United Kingdom, through the Science Without Borders program. He was one of the founders and the first chair of the IEEE PES UFSM Student Branch Chapter in 2017.
