Graduated in Biology (1986), Master in Plant Genetic Resources (2002), and Ph.D. in Science with a focus on Plant Genetic Resources (2014) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He worked as an outsourced consultant for the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service-Sebrae / SC, working in Project Management, Small Agribusiness Productive Chain Management, and Territorial Development (2004-2019). Lead Auditor/evaluator of organic compliance certification programs in Beekeeping and Extractivism by KIWA - BCS certifier (2017-2019). Technical advisor of the Brazilian Beekeeping Confederation, being the only member of the state of Santa Catarina in the Technical and Scientific Committee of the entity. Since 2019 working as Manager of the Apiculture Farm in the UAE to implement the Production and Technological Innovation Program.
