Debora Cristina Castellani

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). Postgraduated in Phytotechnics, with Masters and Doctor in the area of Vegetable Production - Research Line in Medicinal Plants, Aromatics, Oilseeds and Spices. Post-doctor in Forest Science with a focus on agroforestry systems and agroecology, also from UFV. She is currently Scientific Manager in the area of Bioingredients, in the Advanced Research Department, at Natura Cosméticos. She deals with innovation projects with a focus on bioprospecting plant raw materials, developing botanical ingredients, organizing non-timber forest product chains, researching ecological production systems and valuing environmental services.

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV). Pós-graduação em Fitotecnia, com Mestrado e Doutorado na área de Produção Vegetal - Linha de Pesquisa em Plantas Medicinais, Aromáticas, Oleaginosas e Condimentares. Pós-doutorado em Ciência Florestal com foco em Sistemas agroflorestais, também pela UFV. Atualmente é Gerente Científica de Bioingredientes na Diretoria de Pesquisa Avançada da Natura Cosméticos. Atua em projetos de inovação com foco na bioprospecção de matérias-primas vegetais, no desenvolvimento de ingredientes botânicos, na organização de cadeias de produtos florestais não madeireiros, na pesquisa de sistemas ecológicos de produção e na valoração de serviços ambientais.
