Monike Quirino Santos
Veterinarian graduated by the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPEL; 2012-2016). During the graduation period, she was supervised by Prof. Dr. Bernardo Gasperin, as a trainee student in ReproPEL (Group of Education and Research in Animal Reproduction), performing research activities involving reproductive biotechniques of males (swine and sheep) and females (cattle and swine), with additional activities about small animals reproduction. Her Master research was carried out at the Post-Graduation Program in Veterinary Sciences of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS; 2017-2019) aiming to develop an intravaginal device containing progestogen for synchronizing the estrous cycle of gilts, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fernando Bortolozzo and Dr. Rafael Ulguim. For her doctoral stage, she developed research activities related to the quality control of boar semen doses in Brazil and Germany, mainly focused on flow cytometry application, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fernando Bortolozzo at UFGRS; Dr. Martin Schulze at the Institut für Fortpflanzung landwirtschaftlicher Nutztiere (IFN Schönow e.V.); and Dr. Jennifer Schön at the Leibniz-Institut für Nutztierbiologie (FBN). Currently, she works as a post-doctoral research at FAPESC, performing researches about animal reproduction under the advisement of Prof. Dr. Ivan Bianchi.
graduation at Medicina Veterinária from Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2016) and master's at Pós-Graduação em Ciências Veterinárias from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2019). Has experience in Veterinary Medicine, focusing on Animal Reproduction, acting on the following subjects: estrógeno, glândula mamária, protocolo, hormônio and progesterona.
