Milton Borsato

Holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Parana (1989) in Brazil, Master's degree in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from Muroran Kogyo Daigaku (1993) in Japan, PhD in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2003) in Brazil, PhD in Advanced Productions Systems Engineering from Muroran Kogyo Daigaku (2016) in Japan and post-doctorate in Production Engineering with emphasis in Integrated Systems for Manufacturing at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (2010, 2013) in the USA, as a Fulbright and CAPES scholar. Currently, Milton Borsato is full professor at the Federal University of Technology in Parana, Brazil and external member of the faculty collegiate of the Doctoral Program "Enzo Ferrari" at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. Occasionally acts as technical expert at the Parana State Court, the Federal Court and the Brazilian Customs in Curitiba. He is editor-in-chief of journal Product:Management and Development. Has gathered relevant experience in the area of Mechanical, Production and Computer Engineering, with emphasis in Project and Product Management and interest in the following themes: Concurrent Engineering, Integrated Product Development, Lean Product Development and Information Technology applied to Product Development. Has published more than 170 articles in scientific journals, magazines and books.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (1989), mestrado em Ciência da Computação e Engenharia de Sistemas pela Muroran Kogyo Daigaku (1993) no Japão, doutorado em Engenharia de Produção pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2003), doutorado em Engenharia de Sistemas Avançados de Produção pela Muroran Kogyo Daigaku (2016) no Japão e pós-doutorado em Engenharia de Produção com ênfase em Sistemas Integrados de Manufatura no National Institute of Standards and Technology (2010 e 2013) nos EUA, como pesquisador Fulbright e CAPES. Atualmente, Milton Borsato é professor titular da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná e membro externo do colegiado de docentes do Programa de Doutorado "Enzo Ferrari" na Universidade de Modena e Reggio Emilia, Itália. Atua esporadicamente como perito técnico no Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Paraná, Justiça Federal e Receita Federal do Brasil em Curitiba. É editor-chefe do periódico científico Product: Management and Development. Tem reunido experiência significativa nas áreas de Engenharia Mecânica, de Produção e Computação, com ênfase em Gerenciamento de Projetos e do Produto e interesse nos seguintes temas: Engenharia Simultânea, Desenvolvimento Integrado de Produto, Lean Product Development e Tecnologia da Informação aplicada ao Desenvolvimento de Produto. Possui mais de 170 artigos publicados em periódicos científicos, revistas e livros.
