Frances Albert Santos

Frances Albert Santos is a PhD student in the Institute of Computing at University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, having worked in solutions in the area of urban computing, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Leandro Aparecido Villas and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Thiago Henrique Silva. He was granted a PDSE-CAPES scholarship for spending six months at the PARADISE laboratory at the University of Ottawa's School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE) as part of his sandwich doctorate supervised by Prof. Azzedine Boukerche. He has also was at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Canada as a Visiting Scholar been supervised by Prof. Richard Pazzi and sponsored by the Government of Canada as an Emerging Leader in the Americas Program (ELAP) in 2017. He received his Master Degree in Computer Science from UNICAMP in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Leandro Aparecido Villas and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Fabio Augusto Faria, having worked in the area of iris recognition solutions on mobile devices. He received his Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) in 2013, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Fabrício Sérgio de Paula.

Frances Albert Santos é aluno de doutorado no Instituto de Computação da UNICAMP desde Agosto de 2015, tendo trabalhado em soluções na área de computação urbana, sob orientação do prof. Dr. Leandro Aparecido Villas e coorientação do Prof. Dr. Thiago Henrique Silva. Durante o período de Outubro de 2017 à Março de 2018, Frances esteve no laboratório PARADISE no SITE (School of Information Technology and Engineering) da Universidade de Ottawa, Canadá, como parte de seu doutorado sanduíche (concessão PDSE/CAPES - Processo: 88881.132016/2016-01) sob supervisão do Prof. Dr. Azzedine Boukerche. Ele também esteve na University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canadá, como bolsista visitante, supervisionado pelo Prof. Dr. Richard Pazzi e financiado pelo Governo do Canadá pelo Emerging Leader in the Americas Program (ELAP) no primeiro semestre de 2017. Recebeu o título de Mestre em Ciência da Computação na UNICAMP, sob orientação do Prof. Dr. Leandro Aparecido Villas e coorientação do Prof. Dr. Fábio Augusto Faria (2016), tendo trabalhado em soluções na área de reconhecimento de íris em dispositivos móveis. Recebeu o título de Bacharel em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul em 2013.
