Amarílis Busch Tavares

Doutoranda em Ciência Política pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Mestre (LLM) em Direito Internacional Humanitário pela Academia de Direito Internacional Humanitário e Direitos Humanos de Genebra/Universidade de Genebra (2007), possui graduação em Relações Internacionais pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (2004). Desde 2010 é servidora pública federal, e desde 2011 é membro da carreira federal de Especialista em Políticas Públicas e Gestão Governamental (EPPGG). Atuou entre 2011 e 2015 na Comissão de Anistia do Ministério da Justiça, inicialmente como coordenadora e assessora técnica, e entre 2013 a 2015 como Diretora, coordenando as políticas e projetos de Justiça de Transição - reparação, memória e verdade- , e cooperação internacional desse órgão. Entre 2015 e maio de 2018, atuou como Coordenadora-Geral de Supervisão da Educação junto à Secretaria de Regulação e Supervisão da Educação Superior/Ministério da Educação. De junho a dezembro de 2018, atuou como Coordenadora-Geral de Direito à Memória e à Verdade e Apoio à Comissão Especial sobre Mortos e Desaparecidos Políticos, junto ao Ministério dos Direitos Humanos. Entre janeiro de 2019 e maio de 2021, trabalhou como pesquisadora no Instituto René Rachou/Fiocruz Minas, Fundação Oswaldo Cruz, vinculada ao Ministério da Saúde, junto ao Grupo de Pesquisa em Saúde e Proteção Social. Atualmente, é Coordenadora de Elegibilidade na Coordenação-Geral do Comitê Nacional para os Refugiados no Departamento de Migrações do Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública. Atuou como voluntária em Maputo, Moçambique, na área de combate e prevenção ao HIV/AIDS, tendo trabalhado também em organizações como a UNESCO e a Visão Mundial, e estagiado, durante a graduação, entre outros, no Alto Comissariado das Nações Unidas para os Refugiados (ACNUR) em Madrid, Espanha.

PhD candidate in Political Science at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Master of Laws (LLM) in International Humanitarian Law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights/University of Geneva (2007), with a BA degree in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (2004). Since 2010, she has been a federal public servant and since 2011, a member of the federal career of Specialist in Public Policies and Government Management (EPPGG). She worked between 2011 and 2015 at the Amnesty Commission of the Ministry of Justice, initially as a coordinator and technical advisor, and from 2013 to 2015 as Director, coordinating the policies and projects of Transitional Justice - reparation, memory, and truth - and international cooperation of this agency. Between 2015 and May 2018, she worked as General Coordinator for Supervision of Education at the Department of Regulation and Supervision of Higher Education/Ministry of Education. From June to December 2018, she worked as General Coordinator for the Right to Memory and Truth and Support for the Special Commission on Political Deaths and Disappearances, at the Ministry of Human Rights. Between January 2019 and May 2021, she worked as a researcher at the René Rachou Institute/Fiocruz Minas, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, linked to the Ministry of Health, in the Health and Social Protection Research Group. She is currently Eligibility Coordinator in the General Coordination of the National Committee for Refugees at the Migration Department of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. She volunteered in Maputo, Mozambique, in the area of HIV/AIDS prevention and control, having also worked in organizations such as UNESCO and World Vision, and interned, during graduation, among others, at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Madrid, Spain..
