Nicholas Vinicius Silva

Bacharel em Biotecnologia pela Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados - UFGD, Brasil (2013), onde adquiriu experiência nas áreas de controle biológico de pragas, cultivo in vitro de plantas ornamentais e fermentação lática de concentrado proteico com a aplicação de bactérias lácticas. Mestre em Agricultura Tropical e Subtropical pelo Instituto Agronômico de Campinas - IAC (2016), na área de Genética, Melhoramento e Biotecnologia Vegetal, onde atuou em pesquisas na área de Bioinformática; com ênfase em Genômica, atuando principalmente no seguinte tema: genômica comparativa entre espécies do gênero citros, com ênfase na filogenia de Citrus x limonia (Limão-cravo). Doutor em Genética e Biologia Molecular pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (2022), desenvolve pesquisas envolvendo: sequenciamento genômico e transcriptômico, montagem de genomas e atlas transcriptômico de espécies de importância para o complexo Saccharum.

Has experience in biological pest control (Laboratory of Entomology and Biological Control - LECOBIOL / UFGD ) , especially in maintaining creations of parasitoid eggs and pupae and alternative hosts : Anagasta kuehniella Zeller ( Lepidoptera : Pyralidae ) , Sitotroga cerealella Olivier ( Lepidoptera : Gelechiidae ) , Tenebrio molitor L. ( Coleoptera : Tenebrionidae ) among others . Scientific Initiation Scholarship in categories PIVIC PIBIC developed and work in the area of in vitro cultivation of ornamental plants of the Orchidaceae and native plants of the cerrado ( Laboratory of Cultivation " In Vitro " - UFGD ) .
