Leonardo da Silva de Assis

Doctor in Information Science from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (USP), Leonardo is a professional with a diversified background, holding a Bachelor's degree in Library Science and History from the same university, and a Master's degree in Information Science, also from ECA-USP. Additionally, he has a specialization in Public Library Management from Universidad Alberto Hurtado (UAH), in Chile. Currently, he is a researcher and collaborator at the Laboratory of Culture, Information and Society (LACIS) at ECA-USP, and creator of the "Minhas Citações" Project. With experience in information management, he worked as an information manager at the Cultural Association Fórum Permanente (2008-2014) and as a librarian at the NGO Mais Diferenças, in the Accessibility in Public Libraries Project, under the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture (2014-2016). Moreover, he has carried out various editorial works with institutions such as Projeto Guri, PUC-SP, and the Brazilian Association of Contemporary Art (ABACT). A dedicated researcher, his research interests include public libraries, cultural policy, and public information.

Doutor em Ciência da Informação pela Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo (USP), Leonardo é um profissional com formação diversificada, possuindo Bacharelado em Biblioteconomia e História pela mesma universidade e Mestrado em Ciência da Informação, também pela ECA-USP. Além disso, tem especialização em Gestão de Bibliotecas Públicas pela Universidad Alberto Hurtado (UAH), no Chile. Atualmente, é pesquisador e colaborador no Laboratório de Cultura, Informação e Sociedade (LACIS) da ECA-USP e criador do Projeto "Minhas Citações". Com experiência em gestão de informação, trabalhou como gestor de informação da Associação Cultural Fórum Permanente (2008-2014) e foi bibliotecário da ONG Mais Diferenças, no Projeto Acessibilidade em Bibliotecas Públicas, de responsabilidade do Ministério da Cultura (2014-2016). Ademais, realizou diversos trabalhos editoriais com instituições como Projeto Guri, PUC-SP e Associação Brasileira de Arte Contemporânea (ABACT). Pesquisador dedicado e seus interesses de pesquisa incluem biblioteca pública, política cultural e informação pública.
