Felipe Andrade Torres

Doutor em Engenharia Industrial pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2021) com período de Doutorado Sanduíche na University of Birmingham (2018-2019), Mestre em Engenharia Aeronáutica e Mecânica pelo Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (2014) e Engenheiro Mecânico pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2010). Possui experiência industrial pela Alstom Power (São Paulo, 2011-2012), N&A Consultores (UTE Candeias Energia 2009-2010, UTE Termoparaíba e Termonordeste, 2010-2011), Alteno AG (Suíça, 2007-2008) e experiência acadêmica pela Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia (Salvador, 2014-2015) e Centro Universitário Estácio (Salvador, 2014-2015). Foi bolsista CAPES pelo Programa Geral de Cooperação Internacional no Future Engines & Fuels Lab (University of Birmingham, 2018-2019), bolsista CAPES pelo Programa de Excelência Acadêmica no Laboratório de Combustão, Propulsão e Energia (ITA, 2013-2014) e bolsista CNPq no Laboratório de Energia e Gás Científica (UFBA, 2007-2009). Atualmente ocupa o cargo de Professor Adjunto vinculado à Área de Sistemas Mecânicos do Centro de Ciências Exatas e Tecnológicas, Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia (2015- ) e de Docente Participante do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Energia e Ambiente (PGENAM) e Docente Colaborador do Programa em Engenharia Industrial (PEI), pela Universidade Federal da Bahia. Tópicos atuais de interesse em pesquisa: Net-Zero Emissions, Combustíveis de Zero ou Baixo Teor de Carbono, Tecnologias em Energias Renováveis, Energia Limpa, Transição Energética e Sustentabilidade.

Has a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Bahia (2021) with a research period at the University of Birmingham (2018-2019), has a M.Sc. in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (2014), and Mech. Eng. Degree (Hons) at the Federal University of Bahia (2010). Has industrial experience at Alstom Power (Sao Paulo, 2011-2012), N&A Consultores (Thermal Power Plants Candeias Energia 2009-2010, Termoparaíba and Termonordeste, 2010-2011), Alteno AG (Switzerland, 2007-08) and academic experience at University of Technology and Sciences (Salvador, 2014-2015) and Estacio University Center (Salvador, 2014-2015). Has been awarded with a CAPES International Cooperation Program Scholarship at the Future Engines & Fuels Lab (University of Birmingham, 2018-2019), a CAPES scholarship at the Laboratory of Combustion, Propulsion and Energy (ITA, 2013-2014), and a CNPq scholarship at the Laboratory of Energy and Gas (UFBA, 2007-2009). Currently holds a permanent position as an Assistant Professor at the Center of Exact and Technological Sciences at the Federal University of Reconcavo of Bahia (2015-) and Collaborating Professor at the Postgraduate Program in Energy and Environment (PGENAM) and Postgraduate Program in Industrial Engineering, at the Federal University of Bahia. Current research topics of Net-Zero Emissions with a focus on the Transport Sector (including Low and Zero Carbon Fuels and Emissions Control); Renewable Energy Technologies, with potential industrial applications; Clean Energy; Energy Transition and Sustainability.
