Philippe Bertrand

BIO: Philippe Bertrand is the Chief Storytelling Officer at Virtualisurg, responsible for designing the narratives for their simulators. He is an interdisciplinary scientist, artist, interactive designer, creative, and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience, holding a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology, a Masters in Digital Arts, and a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication. With 6 scientific articles published in peer review journal, he is the inventor of "The Machine to Be Another," an embodied extended reality (XR) system that has won international awards in arts, design, and social innovation and has been implemented in museums and academic research centers worldwide. Philippe is also the co-founder of the BeAnotherLab art group, which has produced several derivatives of this system and presented them in over 30 countries, including at events such as the UN Assembly for the Goals of the Millennium, the World Economic Forum, and the UNESCO Forum of Education. Additionally, he developed a VR training system for the French Ministry of National Education in 2018 to help teachers better understand dyslexic students' perspective.
