Graduated in Forest Engineering from the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (1983), master's degree in Tropical Forest Science at the National Institute for Amazonian Research (1992) and PhD in Forestry Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná (2007). He is currently Associate Professor 1 of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in the area of Forest Resources and Forest Engineering, with emphasis on management of natural forests, mainly in the following themes: management of natural forests, forest inventory, Extractive Reserves and multiple use of natural forests.
Possui graduação em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (1983), mestrado em Ciências de Florestas Tropicais pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (1992) e doutorado em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (2007). Atualmente é professor Adjunto 1 da Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro. Tem experiência na área de Recursos Florestais e Engenharia Florestal, com ênfase em manejo de florestas naturais, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: manejo de florestas naturais, inventário florestal, Reservas Extrativistas e uso múltiplo de florestas naturais.
