Licinius D. S. Alcantara received B.S. degrees in Data Processing Technology from the Center for Higher Education of the State of Pará (CESUPA), Belém, Brazil in 1995, and in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Belém, Brazil in 1998, M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from UFPA in 2000 and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP), São Carlos, Brazil in 2004. From 2005 to 2009 he was involved in teaching and research activities at UFPA. Since 2009 he is Professor at the Federal Rural University of Amazon (UFRA). He has experience on the application of mathematical and computer simulation models on Electromagnectic Theory problems and also on multidisciplinary areas.
Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) em 1998, graduação em Tecnologia em Processamento de Dados pelo Centro de Ensino Superior do Pará (CESUPA) em 1995, mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal do Pará (PPGEE/UFPA) em 1999, e doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade de São Paulo (EESC/USP) em 2004. Atualmente é professor Associado III da Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase na modelagem numérica computacional em Teoria Eletromagnética. Também possui interesse em questões interdisciplinares envolvendo a aplicação de modelos matemáticos na simulação computacional. Já elaborou e participou de alguns trabalhos de pesquisa, divulgação e extensão na área de sistemas fotovoltaicos.
