I achieved M.Sc (Master of Science) degree in Biochemistry / Molecular Biology (2008) & M.Phil in Biochemistry / Human Molecular genetics, from Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan (2010) respectively . Achieved Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Botany & Zoology (2001) from University of Kashmir, Srinagar. Has research experties in the area of Human Molecular Genetics with emphasis on following topic:A study of families with Human hereditary hair loss, during which he was engaged in Genotyping/Mapping, identification and Sequence analysis of genes involved in congenital hair loss. Has been using different molecular biology techniques like: Clinical evaluation of patients and blood sampling. Genomic DNA extraction by phenol and kit method, DNA purification. RNA extraction and cDNA synthesis. PCR, Real Time PCR, Qt PCR, RFLP, DNA sequencing, primer designing. Electrophoresis. ELISA, Enzyme assays, Chromatographic techniques. Basic laboratory equipment such as centrifuge, homogenizer, incubators, autoclaving, laminar flow hood, rotary evaporators, pH meter, spectrophotometer and Nanodrop. Also used bioinformatic tools & software for statistical analysis, evaluation and interpretation of the results. Participated in Several Life Sciences Workshops, Conferences and Symposia. He Has been involved in conducting and attending different workshops.
