Thiago Piacentini

Thiago Piacentini holds a bachelor degree in Geology (Universidade de São Paulo - 2007), a masters degree in Sciences (Universidade de São Paulo - 2009) and a PhD in Earth Sciences (University of Queensland, Australia, 2014). Former CNPq scholar studied noble gas geochemistry and geochronology of banded iron-formations under the supervision of Paulo M. Vasconcelos (UQ) and Kenneth Farley (Caltech), focusing on the 40Ar/39Ar, U-Th/He and U-Th/Ne dating methods. With professional experience in the mining exploration industry, currently acts in a lab that develop mining processes.

Thiago Piacentini, geólogo (IGc-USP - 2007), mestre em ciências ( Recursos Minerais, IGc USP - 2009), com PhD em Earth Sciences (University of Queensland, Australia, 2014). Ex-bolsista CNPq durante o PhD onde desenvolveu estudo de geoquímica e geocronologia de gases nobres em formações ferríferas sob orientação dos profs. Paulo M. Vasconcelos (UQ) e Kenneth A. Farley (Caltech), com ênfase nos métodos 40Ar/39Ar, U-Th/He, U-Th/Ne. Com experiencia profissional em exploracao mineral atualmente trabalha em laboratorio de processos minerais.
