Bachelor degree in Physics by the Federal University of Minas Gerais, UFMG, (1976 ), Master of Sciences and Nuclear Techniques by the UFMG (1982 ) and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2007 ).Currently is senior technologist of the National Nuclear Energy Commission working mainly in the areas of monitoring and analysis of nuclear power information, test and qualification of nuclear fuel, design calculations of the nuclear fuel rods. Has expertise in the area of Nuclear Engineering, with emphasis on performance evaluation and modeling of fuel behavior under irradiation. In this area took part in technical missions at the Forschungszentrum Jülich and Siemens of Germany and Halden Reactor Project in Norway.On several occasions held the positions of head of division and technical advisor of CDTN/CNEN.
Graduado em Física (Licenciatura e Bacharelado) pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, UFMG, (1975 e 1976), Mestrado em Ciências e Técnicas Nucleares pela UFMG (1982) e doutorado em Engenharia Química pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2007). Atualmente é tecnologista sênior da Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear atuando principalmente nas áreas de monitoramento e análise de informações da energia nuclear, teste e qualificação do combustível nuclear, cálculos de projeto das varetas combustíveis nucleares.Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Nuclear, com ênfase em avaliação do desempenho e modelagem do comportamento do combustível sob irradiação. Nesta área participou de missões técnicas no Forschungszentrum Jülich e Siemens, da Alemanha, e Halden Reactor Project, na Noruega.
