Ekaterina Churakova

I graduated in Chemistry (Master degree) at NSU, Russia. My final project in Heterogeneous Catalysis was successfully finalized in publications and nominated as the The Best Master Thesis. Further I received a Marie Curie Fellowship to start a PhD project inside European network (BIOTRAINS). I obtained PhD in Biocatalysis at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. During my PhD project I mainly worked on various enzymatic redox reactions for the synthesis of fine chemicals. The project required knowledge in numerous analytic techniques as well as skills in organic synthesis. I was actively involved in various collaborations and exchange stays with well-known European research groups, which resulted in successful publications (Nature Biotechnology, Angewandte Chemie, and others).I have also delivered various poster and oral presentations in international conferences such as Biotrans and Gordon. Besides, I enjoyed teaching and supervising the projects of bachelor and master students, which were also completed in publications.
