Joshua Birchall

Has a PhD in linguistics from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen (The Netherlands, 2014). Also has a MA in linguistics and a BA in anthropology from the University of Montana, USA. He was a postdoctoral researcher in the DoBeS project "The ethnolinguistic composition of southeastern Rondônia". The researcher is a specialist in indigenous languages, language typology, language documentation, language contact and historical linguistics. Currently works as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico.

Possui doutorado em Linguística pela Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen (Países Baixos, 2014). Também possui mestrado em Linguística e graduação em Antropologia pela University Of Montana, EUA. Ele trabalhou como pesquisador no projeto DoBeS "A composição etnolinguística do sudeste de Rondônia". O pesquisador é especialista em línguas indígenas, documentação linguística, tipologia linguística, contato linguístico e linguística histórica. Atualmente trabalha como Visiting Assistant Professor na University of New Mexico.
