Leonardo Medeiros Vieira

I was educated at the University of Brasília - UnB (BA), Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG (MA) and at the University of São Paulo - USP (PhD), where I wrote a thesis on cattle-raid in Homeric poetry. Currently I teach Ancient Greek Language and Literature at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA, in Salvador). My current research interests are: Ancient Greek epic (especially Homer) and Alexandrian poetry (especially Apollonius Rhodius and Theocritus).

Sou Doutor em Letras Clássicas pela Universidade de São Paulo e atuo como professor de Língua e Literatura Grega Antiga na Universidade Federal da Bahia. Atualmente meus interesses se concentram no estudo da épica grega arcaica (especialmente Homero).
