Luiz Octávio Gonzales Ferreira

Graduated in Biological Sciences at Uniderp University, full degree (2013) and bachelor's degree (2014), master in Environment and Regional Development, area of Environmental Sciences at Uniderp University (2017). Currently a PhD student in the Postgraduate Program in Environment and Regional Development at Uniderp University and a fellow at the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), working mainly in the following lines of research: Society, Environment and Regional Development Sustainable; Prospecting for natural products; Essencial oils; Alternative control; Control of agricultural pests; Soybean looper and corn weevil.

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Uniderp, licenciatura plena (2013) e bacharelado (2014). Mestrado (2017) e doutorado (2022) em Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Regional, área de Ciências Ambientais pela Universidade Uniderp e foi bolsista da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), atuando principalmente nos seguintes linhas de pesquisa: Sociedade, Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Regional Sustentável; Recursos Naturais e Ecologia; Inseticidas naturais e botânicos; Óleos essenciais; Controle alternativo; Controle de pragas agrícolas; Lagarta falsa-medideira, Lagarta-do-cartucho do milho e Gorgulho do milho. Atualmente é professor na rede estadual de ensino público (SED-MS).
