He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Amazonia (1980), a Master's Degree in Agricultural Sciences from the Federal University of Pará (2006) and a PhD in Rural Extension from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2018). He began his professional career in 1981, in the great Jari project, working in R & D of várzea rice with the cropping system. He worked in the extension of the state of Pará (EMATER / PA), from 1982 to 1998, when he joined the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa Amapá), where he works as Analyst A. He has experience in rural extension, technology transfer and technological innovations, especially those aimed at extractivism of non-timber forest products and the family farms of traditional Amazonian communities.
Possui graduação em Engenharia Agronômica pela Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia (1980), mestrado em Agriculturas Amazônicas pela Universidade Federal do Pará (2006) e Doutorado em Extensão Rural pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2018). Iniciou sua carreira profissional no ano de 1981, no grande projeto Jari, atuando em P&D de arroz de várzea com o cropping system. Atuou na extensão do estado do Pará (EMATER/PA), do ano de 1982 a 1998, quando ingressou na Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa Amapá), onde trabalha como Analista A. Tem experiência na área de extensão rural, transferência de tecnologias e inovações tecnológicas, especialmente as direcionadas ao extrativismo de produtos florestais não-madeireiros e as agriculturas familiares de comunidades tradicionais da Amazônia.
