Alice Reis de Barros e Azevedo

Alice Reis is an oceanographer, graduated from the Federal University of Bahia and has a master's degree in Ecology and Biomonitoring by the same institution. Currently, she is a doctoral student in the postgraduate program in Ecology: Theory, Practice and Values ​​at UFBA and studies interactions between saltmarshes and mangroves. In the master she evaluated the role of tropical saltmarshes as a refuge for fiddler crabs. During graduation she participated in the Science Without Borders Program at Università di Pisa, Italy, coursing Laurea Magistrale in Biology Marina for 12 months (2013-2014). Previously, she received a PIBIC scholarship in the period 2012-2013, at the Benthic Ecology Laboratory (LEB) of the Federal University of Bahia, where she participates in research activities related to benthic organisms in estuarine environments to date.

Alice Reis é oceanógrafa, formada pela Universidade Federal da Bahia e mestre em Ecologia e Biomonitoramento pela mesma instituição.Atualmente, é aluna doutoranda no programa de pós-graduação em Ecologia:Teoria, Prática e Valores na UFBA (2019-atual) e estuda interações entre marismas e manguezais. No mestrado (2017-2019) avaliou o papel de marismas tropicais como refúgio para caranguejos ocipodídeos. Durante a graduação (2010-2016) participou do Programa Ciências Sem Fronteiras na Università di Pisa, Itália, onde cursou Laurea Magistrale em Biologia Marina durante 12 meses (2013-2014). Anteriormente, foi bolsista PIBIC no período de 2012-2013, no Laboratório de Ecologia Bentônica(LEB) da Universidade Federal da Bahia, onde participa de atividades de pesquisa relacionadas a organismos bentônicos em ambientes estuarinos até o presente momento.
