Márlon Marcos Pereira de Sousa

Atualmente Doutorando pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia (POSGEO) da Universidade Federal da Bahia - UFBA. Mestre pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia (PPGeo) da Universidade Estadual do Maranhão - UEMA. Possui graduação em Geografia, Licenciatura Plena e Bacharelado, pela Universidade Federal do Maranhão - UFMA e em Pedagogia pela Faculdade Venda Nova do Imigrante - FAVENI. Atuou como Coordenador bolsista nos projetos de Meio ambiente, pela Pró-reitoria de Extensão - PROEX/UFMA, entre maio de 2012 e maio de 2014. Atuou como professor no Instituto Superior de Educação Ocidemnte, no curso de Pedagogia e na Faculdade Montessoriano, como professor do curso de Pedagogia e, no Colégio Montessoriano com turmas do Ensino Fundamental II. Esteve como membro da equipe de Mobilização e Articulação contratada para elaboração dos Planos de Manejo das APAs das Reentrâncias Maranhense e Baixada Maranhense, na Secretaria Estadual de Meio Ambiente (SEMA). Desenvolve atividades no Grupo de Pesquisa Produção do Espaço Urbano - PEU, vinculado ao Instituto de Geociências (UFBA). Desenvolve pesquisas em: Ensino da Geografia, Geografia Humana, com ênfase em Geografia Cultural, Geografia da Religião, Geografia Urbana, Geografia do Turismo, Geografia e Literatura e educação.

Currently PhD student at the Graduate Program in Geography (POSGEO) at the Federal University of Bahia - UFBA. Master by the Graduate Program in Geography (PPGeo) at the State University of Maranhão - UEMA. Graduated in Geography, Full Degree and Bachelor, from the Federal University of Maranhão - UFMA and in Pedagogy from Faculdade Venda Nova do Imigrante - FAVENI. He acted as a scholarship coordinator in Environment projects, through the Dean of Extension - PROEX / UFMA, between May 2012 and May 2014. He served as a professor at the Higher Institute of Western Education, in the Pedagogy course. He worked at the Montessoriano College, as a teacher in the Pedagogy course, and at the Montessoriano College with Elementary School classes. He was a member of the Mobilization and Articulation team hired to prepare the Management Plans for the APAs of the Maranhense and Baixada Maranhense Reefs, at the State Secretariat for the Environment (SEMA). Develops activities in the Urban Space Production Research Group - PEU, linked to the Geosciences Institute (UFBA). Develops research in: Teaching Geography and Human Geography, with an emphasis on Cultural Geography, Geography of Religion, Urban Geography, Tourism Geography and Geography and Literature.
