Jackson Dirceu Megiatto Junior

Professor Jackson Megiatto is a Ph.D in organic chemistry with strong physical chemistry background. He earned his bachelor and Ph.D degrees from University of Sao Paulo (USP), which were followed by postdoctoral training in France (Universite de Bordeaux-1) and USA (New York University and Arizona State University). Professor Megiatto has extensive experience working in the fields of supramolecular chemistry, polymers, photochemisty, catalysis and material sciences. He has used his knowledge to address fundamental challenges in the assembly and integration of nanostructured materials and devices for development of cost-effective solar fuel production technologies, bioenergy and innovative self-healing and smart materials. graduation at Chemistry from Universidade de São Paulo (2001) and doctorate at Chemistry from Universidade de São Paulo (2006). Has experience in Chemistry, acting on the following subjects: porphyrins, artificial photosynthesis, rotaxanes, fullerene and catenanes.
